Everton have announced that academy graduates Kieran Dowell and Callum Connolly have penned new three-year deals at Goodison Park.
Connolly will go straight out on loan to Championship side Wigan Athletic for the 2018-19 campaign, having impressed with Ipswich Town in the same division last time out.
Fellow youngster Dowell starred for Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, scoring 10 goals in 43 outings, and he looks likely to stay on Merseyside for the coming campaign.
Following the arrival of Connolly at the DW Stadium, Wigan boss Paul Cook told the club's official website: "Callum is a bright young player, who had a good year with Ipswich Town in the Championship, and he will add to our midfield."
Dowell was also previously linked with a loan move to Wigan, who are back in the second tier following a one-year absence.
