Everton manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that he is not focused on John Stones's contract situation at Goodison Park as uncertainty remains over the defender's future.
The England international was the subject of four bids, one of which reportedly rose to £37m, from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Everton held firm and kept their man, but Martinez has suggested that the focus is purely on getting the 21-year-old back to full fitness as opposed to negotiating a new deal.
Stones, who joined Everton from Barnsley in 2013, returned from a knee injury in the Toffees' 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last weekend.
"It's not a time to talk about any individuals," The Express quotes Martinez as saying. "It's a good, stable position and I don't want to touch that.
"The focus now is just on performing, playing in games - it's not a moment to look into individual situations."
Stones has three-and-a-half years left on his current deal at Goodison.
