Michel Bastos spared Lyon's blushes with a 73rd-minute equaliser as they came from behind to draw 1-1 with Evian TG tonight.

There was little goalmouth action in the first half as Bakary Kone wasted perhaps the best chance of the opening 45 minutes by sending a close-range header over the crossbar.

Striker Bafetimbi Gomis twice went close for the visitors in the early stages of the second period but Evian took the lead against the run of play.

Experienced midfielder Cedric Barbosa converted past Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris from Yannick Sagbo's pass to give Evian a 57th-minute advantage.

However, Brazil international Bastos levelled the scores with a fine left-footed strike as Lyon saved themselves from a shock defeat.
