Didier Deschamps content with Switzerland draw

France boss Didier Deschamps suggests that he is unconcerned that his side failed to score in their goalless draw with Switzerland on Sunday night.

France boss Didier Deschamps has said that he only had criticism for the Lille pitch after his side secured top spot in Group A with a goalless draw with Switzerland.

The host nation struck the woodwork three times during the stalemate which ensured that they reached the last 16 as group winners, and although his team has come under fire for their display in the final third, Deschamps reserved his criticism for the playing surface.

The 47-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "The pitch is annoying. I don't know who is responsible. We are only in the group stage and it is in a state.

"But for a great goalkeeper and a few centimetres, we would have scored goals. You can always criticise but we kept a clean sheet and we finished top of the group. Every match is difficult. Apart from Spain, one or two examples, everyone is finding it tough."

France are next in action on Sunday afternoon when they play one of the best third-place teams in Lyon.
