France midfielder Moussa Sissoko has revealed his 'delight' after helping the Blues book their spot in the final of Euro 2016.
A suspension to N'Golo Kante allowed Sissoko to come into the France team in the quarter-finals against Iceland, and the Newcastle United midfielder kept his spot for Thursday's 2-0 win over Germany in the last four.
The 26-year-old was part of the Newcastle side that were relegated from the Premier League last season, but Sissoko has vowed to enjoy his success with the national team.
"We are delighted tonight to make it into the final, it's huge and incredible for me too. At club level I've not had the chance to play top matches," Sissoko told reporters. "Now I hope we can complete the job on Sunday, it will be a tough fixture against a good Portugal side but hopefully we can incorporate all the ingredients we showed tonight."
The midfielder is widely expected to leave Newcastle following the European Championships.
