France and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has admitted that his side are "disappointed" with their 3-0 friendly defeat to Brazil on Sunday night.
The defeat followed a loss to Uruguay to leave France winless from their mini-tour of South America.
Benzema said that he was annoyed in particular by the Brazil result, despite it being a non-competitive fixture.
"Even though it was a friendly, we're all competitors," he told Ligue1.com. "We're all disappointed. In the first half, we had a few chances, but we couldn't convert.
"After that, bit by bit, we floundered. In the second half, we had nothing to speak of. I don't know whether we gave up or not, but we certainly gave the impression of having run out of gas.
"We got pushed back after the first goal and then conceded another two. It's always tough to lose, but 3-0 is hard to take. It was a horrible match."
France return to competitive action when they travel to Georgia on September 6.
