Fulham youth player Patrick Roberts has revealed his delight to have signed his first professional contract with the club, which he agreed last week.
Roberts, who is reportedly being tracked by Barcelona and Real Madrid, said that the club's academy had improved him a lot as a player and he could not wait to get into the first-team set-up.
"I'm delighted," he told the club's official website. "I've been here since joining the Under-14s so to sign a pro contract feels amazing. It's one of the best feelings I've ever had in my life.
"The academy at Fulham have really developed my game. They've improved me as a player and supported me all the way. They've done everything they can to help me and they always encourage me to do my best. I can't thank them enough.
"Seeing the likes of Muamer Tankovic, Moussa Dembele and Lasse Vigen Christensen get their first team chance can only inspire me. I was playing with Moussa at the start of the season in the Under-18s so to see him in and around the first team is great. It just makes me want to get there even more."
Fulham are currently rock bottom of the Premier League.
