Fulham manager Martin Jol has played down fears of his side being dragged into a Premier League relegation battle.
The Cottagers lost again this afternoon, falling to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea to leave them 14th in the table, four points off the relegation zone with just one win from their last 12 games.
However, Jol is confident that his side have the quality to amass more points than the teams below them, and thinks that six or seven wins will be enough to keep them in the division.
"If you look at the other teams and the quality we've got and they've got, I think we will keep a few teams under us," he said.
"The only thing is you have to pick up points. Seven wins and we will be in a great position, even six wins, and I think we are capable of doing that."
Fulham's next match will come on New Year's Day as they take on West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.
