Felix Magath has apologised to Fulham supporters following the 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night.
A goal from Bakary Sako was enough to secure the points for the visitors at Craven Cottage, and Magath was left appealing for more time from the fans after watching his side suffer a third loss in a row at the start of the new Championship campaign.
"The message is sorry for the defeat, but I can only ask for patience," the German told reporters. "We have a young team and I know it might be a tough beginning to the season, but I am sure we are going the right way.
"We need a win, sure. If we get three points it will build up our confidence. It's a long season so I don't worry about the situation now."
Fulham will continue their search for a first point of the season against Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
