Fulham manager Felix Magath has insisted that he is under "no illusions" that it will be easy for him to guide the team back to the Premier League.
The German failed to keep the Cottagers in the top flight after taking over as manager at Craven Cottage in February, but has outlined promotion as the main objective in the Championship this season.
In an open letter to Fulham fans via the club's official website, Magath said: "I am under no illusions that the challenge ahead will be an easy one, but I can guarantee you that we will leave no stone unturned in our quest to regain Premier League status and we will always be giving our best, to give to you what you justly deserve as our ever faithful fans.
"This football club was built on good work ethics and a family friendly atmosphere, let's start this season with a positive attitude and unite as one to achieve our goal."
Fulham will take on Ipswich Town in their opening game of the season on Saturday.
