Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz has criticised the team's style of "fighting football" under new manager Rene Meulensteen.
Meulensteen took charge of the side at the start of December following the departure of Martin Jol at Craven Cottage.
Ruiz, who was recently loaned out to PSV Eindhoven, has now taken a swipe at the coach for his unimaginative tactics.
"Meulensteen wants Fulham to play fighting football, but that is definitely not my style," the Costa Rican is quoted as saying by The People.
"I should be making use of my talents, not scrapping for every inch of territory.
"There is nothing wrong with my attitude. I'm simply a player who should have a lot of time on the ball and I like to play stylish football."
Fulham are currently three points adrift of safety at the bottom of the Premier League table following a 3-0 defeat at home to Southampton on Saturday.
