Scott Parker: 'There is no pressure on us'

The Cottagers are three points from safety.

Scott Parker insists there is no pressure on his Fulham side ahead of the crucial game against Wolves at Craven Cottage on Friday.

The Cottagers have already missed two opportunities to move out of the bottom three, losing to Leeds and Aston Villa, but will be looking to correct previous mistakes versus Nuno Espirito Santo's team.

Despite scoring the opener against Villa on Sunday, Parker's men went on to lose 3-1 after conceding three goals in 10 minutes, leaving Fulham without a point from their last three matches.

"The only pressure that is on this team is to keep improving and be the best they can be every week. We focus on ourselves," Parker said.

"That's been the constant message and the only pressure I put on them.

"I understand that it's easier said than done when you're in the arena and things don't go too well, of course pressure comes.

"But I don't see any pressure in this team. What happened at the weekend could have happened and probably did happen at the beginning of the season.

"In this moment, there is no pressure on this team. They've done incredibly well. We'll keep fighting, keep pushing and keep trying to be the best we can be."

After a poor start, Fulham had become a resolute defensive outfit.

They kept five clean sheets in seven matches, but mistakes have returned during defeats to Manchester City, Leeds and Villa.

"I think you're fair to say that a couple of mistakes have crept in, part and parcel of the league and the teams and you often find that but, look, we've not enjoyed that and that's an element that we have looked at," Parker said.

"Looking at certain things in terms of understanding individually with players and as always just working as hard as we can to eradicate it."
