Millwall have seen off the challenge of Fulham thanks to Martyn Woolford's first-half strike in their Championship clash this afternoon.
George Williams lashed the ball wide early on for Fulham after an initial save from Millwall keeper David Forde, who did well to keep it out at full stretch.
Woolford then put the visitors in front with a simple finish at the far post following strong play by Ricardo Fuller on the left.
Scott Malone came close to making it two just before the break after hitting a half volley towards goal, but Jesse Joronen tipped it over to keep the Cottagers in the game.
Malone was at it again after the restart, and was this time denied by the boot of Joronen following a defence-splitting pass from Scott McDonald.
Fulham rallied, however, and Alan Dunne had to clear off the line after Hugo Rodallega struck at goal.
Substitute Ross McCormack, an £11m signing from Leeds United, had an effort blocked after tricking his way into the box, but Millwall's back line stood firm to eventually secure them the win.
