Cardiff City have turned down an offer from Fulham for Peter Whittingham, according to reports.
BBC Sport understands that Fulham's bid for the midfielder was around £2.5m, with the Welsh club standing firm with a rejection.
The 27-year-old is under contract until 2014 and clearly still a key part of Cardiff manager Malkay Mackay's plans to earn promotion this season.
Whittingham played every minute of every Championship game last season as City suffered the heartbreak of defeat in the playoffs.
