Fulham have reportedly agreed a deal with Sevilla to sign attacker Lucas Ocampos.
The Cottagers are working had to make a number of signings in the final week of the transfer window after Marco Silva recently claimed that he wanted to make five more additions to his side.
Timothy Castagne completed a move from Leicester City earlier today, becoming Fulham's fourth signing of the summer following Calvin Bassey, Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore.
As well as strengthening their defence, Fulham are also looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.
According to The Telegraph, the Cottagers have reached a broad agreement to sign Ocampos from Europa League winners Sevilla.
Fulham are hoping to add Ocampos to Silva's current wide options, which include Willian, Harry Wilson and Traore.
With an agreement in place between the two clubs, Ocampos will have to decide whether he wants to complete a move to West London.
Ocampos, who joined Sevilla from Marseille in 2019, spent the first half of last season on loan at Ajax, before returning to Sevilla to help the Spanish club win their seventh Europa League trophy.
During his time with Sevilla, the Argentine winger has scored 39 goals and provided 18 assists in 165 competitive appearances.
Having played in Argentina, France, Italy, Netherlands and Spain, Ocampos could be tempted to try a fresh challenge in the Premier League.
However, he would have to leave Champions League football behind, with Sevilla set to get their European campaign underway in September.
Ocampos has been featured in all four of Sevilla's competitive matches this term, including a penalty-shootout defeat to Manchester City in the UEFA Super Cup.
Jose Luis Mendilibar's side has experienced a difficult start to the La Liga season, losing all three league games to leave them languishing at the bottom of the table. body check tags ::
