Fulham have closed in on the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk's Israeli winger Manor Solomon this summer, according to a report.
The arrival of the 22-year-old would be Fulham's first during the current transfer window, which officially opened in England on Friday, ahead of their return to the top flight following promotion from the Championship during the 2021-22 campaign.
Several weeks of talks with the winger had hit a stumbling block according to The Athletic, but they are reporting that a breakthrough has been made and Solomon is close to sealing a move away from Shakhtar.
The likes of Torino and Club Brugge had also been interested in a deal for Solomon this summer according to the report, but Marco Silva's Fulham look set to win the race for his signature.
Solomon netted four goals in 16 appearances during the 2021-22 Ukrainian Premier League season, helping his side to top the table, before it was cut short due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
After making the move to Shakhtar for around £5.3m in January 2019, he has gone on to make 106 appearances for the club across all competitions, including the Champions League, scoring 22 goals in the process.
A full Israel international too, Solomon has also scored six goals in 30 appearances for his country, including a brace in Israel's 2-1 victory over Albania on Friday evening. body check tags ::
