Fulham have reportedly planned pre-Christmas contract talks with Norwegian centre-back Brede Hangeland.
The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and will be allowed to speak to other clubs in January.
However, the Daily Mail have reported that Craven Cottage chiefs have now made a new deal for Hangeland their top priority.
The Norway captain has won 80 international caps and joined the Cottagers in January 2008.
