Marcel Gecov has brought an end to his 12-month stint with Fulham.
The 24-year-old struggled to make an impact after joining the club from Slovan Liberec, having made just two appearances for the Whites.
As a result, the midfielder's agent has revealed that his client has joined Belgian club Gent in order to gain more regular starting action.
"The main reason for the change is for Marcel to play more," representative Jiri Mueller told CTK.
"It was not certain if his position at Fulham would improve. At Gent he will be given a better chance and he could come back under the radar.
"Moreover, he will have a better contract there."
It has been reported that Gecov has signed a four-year deal with Gent.
