Reading are reportedly preparing to offer Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak a £13m four-year contract.
The 28-year-old spent the second half of last season at Fulham, but he has since become a free agent with a host of clubs interested.
Reading will offer him a £65,000-a-week contract, which is more than Fulham are prepared to pay, according to The Sun.
Pogrebnyak scored six goals in eight games for the Cottagers last season.
