Philippe Senderos has reportedly undergone a medical ahead of a proposed move to Aston Villa.
The defender, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Valencia, was released by Fulham at the end of the 2013-14 campaign.
According to Sky Sports News, Villa have met with the 29-year-old, and are keen to complete the deal before he joins up with Switzerland's World Cup squad on Friday.
Senderos spent four seasons with Fulham, and has also had spells with Arsenal and Everton.
