Germany Under-21s boss Stefan Kuntz has revealed that he wants to sign a new contract after leading his nation to victory in the Under-21 European Championships this summer.
Germany landed the top prize after beating Spain Under-21s 1-0 in Friday night's final, with Mitchell Weiser scoring the only goal of the match as the favourites were shocked in Krakow.
Kuntz only took control of Germany Under-21s last year, but the former Kaiserslautern chief executive has revealed that he wants a deal to lead the nation into the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
"Now we get together. We want to extend it until 2020. It makes me very proud, this moment... In regards to extending my contract, I love my job and if the president repeats to me what he told you I'm sure we will find a solution," Kuntz told Bild.
Kuntz's last managerial position was with German minnows LR Ahlen in 2003.
