Miroslav Klose has revealed that he is prepared to be patient as he waits for a place in the Germany starting lineup at Euro 2012.
The veteran striker was forced to settle for a place on the bench during his nation's opening match against Portugal on Saturday evening, with coach Joachim Low preferring to select Mario Gomez instead.
Despite the setback, Klose believes that the time will come for him to prove his worth.
"I had a long dialogue with the coach and we both decided [that I would not start]," the Lazio centre-forward told Kicker. "All I can do at this point is be patient and wait for my chance. That chance will definitely come at some point.
"I don't feel any jealousy toward Gomez. That would be unacceptable. He is in superb form, and once again showed that [against Portugal]."
Gomez scored the only goal of the game as Germany won their first match 1-0 at the expense of the Portuguese.
