Germany coach Joachim Low has claimed that he wants his side to finish top of their group at Euro 2012 following a 2-1 win over the Netherlands in Gdansk.
Two goals from Mario Gomez gave the three-time winners a second win of the tournament to put them in pole position in Group B.
Low now believes that coming top of their group, and staying in Gdansk, would be an advantage to Germany.
"The door to the quarter-finals is now wide open," he told reporters. "We wanted to take the next step today and it was important to win the second game.
"It is important to win the group to stay in Gdansk, which would be an advantage in the quarter-finals."
