Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus has pulled out of the Germany squad to face Gibraltar and Spain after picking up an ankle injury over the weekend.
The 25-year-old, who also missed out on Germany's World Cup win over the summer, is expected to be out for two weeks after injuring himself in Dortmund's 1-0 Bundesliga win over Borussia Monchengladbach.
He was diagnosed with sprained ligaments and tendons as well as bruising in his left ankle by Dortmund's club doctor Markus Braun on Monday, according to a statement on the Bundesliga club's website.
He will therefore miss the Euro 2016 qualifier against Gibraltar on Friday and the friendly against Spain on Tuesday.
