Germany head coach Joachim Low has labelled his side "naive" following the 1-1 draw with Group D rivals the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday evening.
The world champions looked on course for all three points in Gelsenkirchen before seeing John O'Shea equalise for the visitors in the fourth minute of stoppage time, and their manager refused to defend the lapse in concentration.
"We were naive at the end," Low admitted to reporters. "It was obvious that we did not keep the ball in the last six or seven minutes.
"We lost balls in midfield and allowed them to put in crosses. That wasn't right."
Germany have picked up four points in the first three games of Euro 2016 qualifying.
