Germany players will wear black armbands in tonight's World Cup qualifier against the Republic of Ireland in memory of former striker Helmut Haller.
Haller died on Thursday at the age of 73.
The former Bologna, Juventus and Augsburg striker won 33 caps for his country, scoring 13 goals, the most famous of which came in the 1966 World Cup final.
Haller is also known for taking the ball from that final before finally returning it to the FA 30 years later.
Germany's tribute will honour Haller's service to his country, which included playing in the 1962, 1966 and 1970 World Cups.
