Gillingham have announced that their League Two fixture with Swindon Town will go ahead as normal after coming to an agreement over policing costs for this Saturday's game.

The Kent-based club have had an ongoing dispute with the police over costing issues but a resolution has been met, which will allow supporters from both clubs to attend the match.

The local police raised the issue of crowd trouble last week due to the long-running rivalry between the two clubs, which led to a prohibition notice being lodged by the Medway Council.

Tickets for the match were being sold while talks were ongoing and now it has been confirmed that there will be enough security to cover the clash.

Swindon are in contention to secure promotion to League One with a victory at the Priestfield Stadium this weekend.
