Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson has claimed that supporters should boycott game five between his team and the Los Angeles Clippers following racist comments allegedly made by Donald Sterling.
Clippers owner Sterling is reported to have told his girlfriend not to bring black people to games, which has resulted in the NBA launching an investigation into the incident.
Jackson believes that the best way to respond to the remarks is for fans of both teams not to go to the fifth game in the playoff series between the two sides, which takes place on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
"If it was me, I wouldn't come to the game," the Warriors coach told members of the media. "I believe as fans, the loudest statement they could make as far as fans is to not show up to the game."
"As an African-American man that's a fan of the game of basketball and knows its history and knows what's right and what's wrong, I would not come to the game tomorrow, whether I was a Clipper fan or a Warrior fan."
The first round series is currently level at 2-2.
