Eibar have climbed to the top of the nascent La Liga table courtesy of a comprehensive 3-1 victory away at Granada.
The visitors took the lead in emphatic fashion 22 minutes into the game when Adrian latched on to Antonio Luna's inch-perfect cross into the box and smashed the ball inside the right post.
Luna was involved again in the 35th minute, his forward ball into the area falling to Gonzalo Escalante, who found space inside the box to fire home.
The hosts halved the deficit shortly after the restart as an Isaac Success cross flew into the path of Ruben Rochina, whose precise low shot found the bottom-right corner of the goal.
Granada went on to suffer a major setback, however, when the referee decided to punish a Salva Ruiz tackle with a straight red card.
Eibar sealed the win shortly after the controversial incident through Mikel Arruabarrena, who leaped high above the defence to meet a corner and thumped a header into the net.
The result sees the Basque side climb to the top of the Spanish first division after one game played, while Granada sit bottom.
