Dimitris Salpigidis has insisted that Greece fully deserve their place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.
A 1-0 win over Russia during their last group game was enough for the 2004 champions to book their place in the final eight of the competition, where they will take on Germany.
"We are at the quarter-finals. The teams that have made it deserve to be here," Salpigidis told a press conference earlier today.
"I am glad that we made it this far. Obviously it's going to be a tough game, but we'll do anything for the victory."
Despite starting the tournament as a substitute, Salpigidis is expected to be named in the starting lineup for Friday's match against the Germans.
