Hamburg have registered a narrow 1-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach at home in the Bundesliga.
The hosts had the first chance of the game and it came after four minutes when Artjoms Rudnevs took a shot from outside the box.
Son Heung-Min tried his luck three minutes later but in vain, before Juan Arango took an attempt for Gladbach.
Hamburg eventually took the lead in the 24th minute when set up by Rudnevs, Rafael van der Vaart fired in from outside the box with his left foot.
Gladbach failed to restore parity during the remainder of the first chance, despite a good chance from Thorben Marx.
Rudnevs had a good opportunity to double Hamburg's advantage 10 minutes into the second half when he headed towards goal, but his effort was kept out by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Both sides created chances to add to the scoreline but failed, as Hamburg bagged maximum points at the Imtech Arena.
