Hearts have been officially put into administration.
The Scottish Premier League club recently announced their intention to seek help for their financial troubles.
Accountancy firm BDO have now taken over the running of Hearts.
The latest development means that the team will start the new season with a 15-point deduction.
Hearts start their SPL campaign at St Johnstone on August 3.
