Paulo Sergio has received a five-game touchline ban following misconduct at a game last month.
The Hearts manager was sent to the stands during his side's 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock on October 29. His reaction towards referee Alan Muir resulted in the serving of a Notice of Complaint and today's disciplinary tribunal.
Sergio was charged with misconduct under the SFA's rule 203, which relates to aggression and disobedience towards match officials.
In absence of any successful appeal, Sergio is expected to return to the dugout for the game against Motherwill on Christmas Eve.
