Goals from Paul Hanlon and Jason Cummings earned Hibernian a 2-1 away victory over Dumbarton to move Alan Stubbs and his men into second place in the Scottish Championship this evening.
The visitors opened the scoring through Hanlon, before Mitchel Megginson drew the hosts level in the 55th minute at the Bet Butler Stadium, leaving Cummings to earn Hibs victory with a neat finish from Scott Allan's ball 25 minutes from time.
Hearts managed to continue a growing display of dominance in the league as they bounced back from their defeat to Rangers with a 3-0 victory at home to strugglers Alloa Athletic, courtesy of goals from Danny Wilson, Callum Paterson and Soufian El Hassnaoui.
Alloa's defeat gave Cowdenbeath the chance to strengthen their bid to remain in the league come next season, and they duly obliged with a comfortable 3-0 defeat of hosts Raith Rovers, thanks to a standout hat-trick from Colin Nish.
Livingston fans were given something to smile about despite a difficult season, as Mark Burchill's side edged to a slender 2-1 victory over Falkirk, after Daniel Mullen's memorable brace at the Almondvale Stadium gave the bottom-placed side an outside chance of staving off the drop.
