Hearts have moved up to sixth place in the Scottish Premier League table with a 2-1 win over Dundee United at Tynecastle.
Ryan Stevenson gave the hosts a 15th-minute lead when he fired in emphatically from six yards out.
The midfielder made sure that Hearts went in 2-0 ahead at the break as he converted from the penalty spot with 31 minutes played following a foul on Dylan McGowan.
Dundee got themselves back in the contest just before the hour through Keith Watson's effort, but the visitors were unable to force an equaliser.
