Hearts manager Robbie Neilson is hopeful that he can keep hold of captain Danny Wilson beyond the end of the current campaign.
The 23-year-old has played a big part in his side's promotion from the Championship this season, which has led to numerous clubs reportedly showing an interest in his services.
Ronny Deila admitted earlier this week that Wilson is indeed a player Celtic are looking to sign in the summer, although Neilson expects the former Liverpool and Rangers man to remain at Tynecastle.
"If you do really well in the Championship and the players excel then there is going to be interest," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "That is football. There has been interest in a lot of my players and we have a few boys out of contract, who we are negotiating with at the moment.
"I would like to try to keep my best players but there is a realisation that bigger clubs can come in and take them. What I would say is: I wouldn't expect to lose anyone that I don't want to lose. If there are people I want to keep, I expect to keep them."
Wilson has a little over 12 months remaining on his current deal.
