Paul Heckingbottom wants his Hibernian players to be "fearless" in their approach to football.
The former Barnsley and Leeds boss started his tenure last weekend with a 2-0 Ladbrokes Premiership win over Hamilton at Easter Road.
Ahead of the trip to Dundee on Friday night, Heckingbottom was asked what was the main message he would be trying to get through to his squad.
"To be fearless," he told the club's television station.
"Everyone gets beat but there are ways to get beat and if you have that fearless approach and you go out to win every game, that's how we want to be.
"Aggressive with the ball and without the ball.
"We will take chances. It won't always work but we want to have a clear identity and every player that steps on to the pitch knows that is the feeling you have to generate for themselves, team mates and anybody watching.
"Dundee have picked up in terms of results and have looked strong.
"We know we have to compete against them and then try to impose our style of play on them."
