The Terriers have just two points so far this season.

David Wagner believes Huddersfield will begin to pick up points if they continue to play as they did against Leicester.

The Town boss has yet to see his side win in six Premier League matches this season after the 3-1 defeat at the King Power Stadium, which left the club bottom of the table with just two points.

Wagner was nevertheless happy with the way Huddersfield played on Saturday and he is not too concerned by their start to the campaign.

He said: "In general, of course, points and wins helps to create confidence but there is not much between us and the other teams, the gap is not big.

"I have no doubt that we will collect our points if we carry on playing as we are.

"I am confident that we can close the gap between us and the other teams in terms of performances because I know and I see the potential we have."

Leicester bounced back from successive defeats, and a dreadful performance in losing 4-2 at Bournemouth last weekend, with James Maddison catching the eye.

The £20million summer signing from Norwich scored his third goal of the season with a free-kick and Foxes boss Claude Puel is pleased with how the midfielder has adapted to the Premier League.

"We didn't know what he would be able to give as he has to learn the Premier League as he played in the Championship last season but he has improved with us and been given game time and he has a good attitude and good mentality and good quality and I hope he continues this way," said Puel.

"But not just him, we needed a response after the last game and I know the quality of my squad, they give their best all the time."
