Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes admits that his side were dreaming of appearing at Wembley in the League One playoff final.
The Terriers lost 2-1 on Tuesday night but reached the Wembley final with a 3-2 aggregate win in the semi-finals. Rhodes scored in both legs to take his tally to 40 goals for the season in what has been a phenomenal year for the Scot.
Having been called up for Scotland earlier in the year, Rhodes is ecstatic to add an appearance at Wembley to his growing CV.
Rhodes said: "It is what we have been dreaming of for the last two or three months when we knew it was inevitable we were going to be in the playoffs.
"So to come through two games against a very tough MK Dons side is very pleasing."
Town will now face Sheffield United at Wembley, with an all-Yorkshire final deciding who will advance to the Championship next season.
