Sean Scannell's first-half goal was enough to give Huddersfield Town the win over Nottingham Forest in their Championship clash at the City Ground this afternoon.
James Vaughan came close to giving the visitors the lead, heading narrowly wide from Jacob Butterfield's cross.
Butterfield and Nakhi Wells both had attempts saved by Karl Darlow as Chris Powell's side continued to push for a breakthrough.
Scannell finally gave the visitors their lead moments before half time, firing home from a tight angle after Butterfield put him through.
The home side increased the pressure after the break, but despite attempts from Chris Burke and Henri Lansbury, they could not find an equaliser.
Vaughan almost doubled Huddersfield's lead before Burke's shot from outside of the box was saved by Alex Smithies.
Forest failed to level matters, with the three points meaning Huddersfield leapfrog Bolton to move into 16th place.
