Huddersfield Town have released eight out-of-contract players, including skipper Peter Clarke.
The 32-year-old defender made over 200 appearances for the Terriers in five years but will now be after a new club.
Keith Southern, Ian Bennett, Calum Woods, Chris Atkinson, Anton Robinson, Cristian Lopez and Paul Mullin have also been released by the Championship side.
The club have retained the services of Danny Ward, who scored a hat-trick in the final game of the season against Watford yesterday, as well as Murray Wallace and Ed Wilczynski.
