Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner is considering a £23m offer for Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen, according to a report.
The 16-cap Netherlands international flopped at Goodison Park following his arrival from Ajax last summer, making just seven Premier League appearances all season.
Klaassen was also used a further nine times in other competitions, and The Sun suggests that Wagner is prepared to take a gamble by making an approach for the 25-year-old.
However, the Terriers could face competition from Werder Bremen, who have set their sights on Klaassen after losing Thomas Delaney to domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Huddersfield have already signed six players ahead of their second season in the Premier League, including attacking midfielder Ramadan Sobhi from Stoke City.
