Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has described his side's 1-0 victory over Blackpool this afternoon as a "huge result".
Following an opening 45 minutes without a goal, the hosting Blues claimed the win shortly after the restart thanks to a strike from substitute Michael Chopra.
Reflecting on the performance, McCarthy admitted that although it wasn't pretty to watch, he would like to see more of the same from his team between now and the end of the season.
"It was a huge result for us. It was a scrappy, horrible, nasty, dreadful and magnificent performance because we have won the game and I'll take a few more performances like that over the rest of the season," he told the club's official website.
"I keep getting asked stupid questions about how we can open the game up, how are we going to go about winning games. It's about staying in this league and that is a massive three points towards us doing that."
The win has moved Ipswich four points clear of the relegation zone.
