Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell has revealed that former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp reassured him that he was not interested in taking his job.
The former Wigan Athletic boss has come under pressure at Portman Road following an inconsistent start to the season but Jewell has insisted that Redknapp was not lined up to take his position.
"Harry rang me last Sunday and said there was absolutely no truth in it," Jewell told BBC Radio Suffolk. "The only worrying thing was at the end of the conversation he asked me what the best areas to live were."
Redknapp, who was sacked from White Hart Lane in the summer, is currently working at Bournemouth in an advisory role.
