Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell was pleased with his side's fighting spirit after they came from a goal down to beat Brighton 3-1 at Portman Road.
Spanish veteran Vicente gave the Seagulls the lead before an Ibrahima Sonko header in between two Michael Chopra strikes sealed the win for the Tractor Boys.
"It was a great game of football and a good advert for the Championship," Jewell told the club's official website.
"The crowd lifted us though. They were great and everyone was pleased for Chops with two terrific goals. Normally when you are on a run like him, one goes in off your backside but that was a fantastic way to get back in the goals.
"We showed a lot of character to win the game after going behind and there is a real togetherness in the squad, not just the 11 players out there but the whole squad."
The three points have moved Town into tenth place in the Championship table, while Brighton have slipped down to fifth.
