Bournemouth twice peg back Ipswich Town to secure a point at Portman Road.

Play-off hopefuls Ipswich Town and Bournemouth shared four goals and the spoils at Portman Road this afternoon.

The visiting Cherries started brightly in Suffolk, but Simon Francis, Lewis Grabban and Yann Kermorgant all failed to find the target with their early opportunities.

Their failure to do so was duly punished in the 30th minute by Ipswich winger Paul Anderson, who slid in at the back post to turn in Cole Skuse's low cross.

Moments later full-back Aaron Cresswell saw his curling effort tipped onto the post by visiting goalkeeper Lee Camp, before Steve Cook drew Bournemouth level with an overhead kick in the 43rd minute.

However, just 10 minutes after the restart the Tractor Boys were back in front, with Paul Green scoring his first goal for the club from a Cresswell cross.

The response from Eddie Howe's side was positive and it appeared that Marc Pugh was going to equalise moments later, but he lifted the ball over the bar from just six yards out.

Pugh's miss did not prove costly, though, as with 10 minutes left to play Bournemouth did draw themselves level for the second time when Ritchie's free kick was deflected into the net.
