Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell has said that he is frustrated at not being able to add to his squad before their season opener at Bristol City on Saturday.
Jewell said in a press conference that one club wouldn't return the Tractor Boys' calls.
"It's pretty disappointing as we've tried to bring in two new players this week," he told the club's website.
"I'd like to say we're in negotiations but there isn't any when people won't return your calls, which is disappointing, but hopefully they will get back to me one day next week."
Blackburn Rovers' Irish midfielder Keith Andrews was linked with a loan switch to Portman Road this week but that has move has failed to materialise.
