Ipswich Town have announced that Luke Varney's loan deal from Blackburn Rovers has been extended until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old joined the Tractor Boys on a one-month loan deal, but the Championship side have triggered a clause that allows Varney to remain at Portman Road until the season comes to an end.
The agreement now means that the player will be eligible to represent Ipswich until May 2, and via the club's official website it has been confirmed that an option is in place for Varney to also compete in the playoffs.
Varney has made six appearances since joining the club in February.
