Antonio Conte has admitted that he is disappointed by Italy's 1-0 Euro 2016 qualifying win over Bulgaria and has told his troops to develop a killer instinct.
Daniele De Rossi's sixth-minute penalty was enough as the Azzurri lept above Norway and Croatia to earn a two-point lead at the summit of Group H.
They ended the clash in Palermo with 17 attempts on goal, almost treble what the visitors managed, and Conte - whose side beat Malta 1-0 on Friday - concedes that there is room to improve for the goal-shy Italians.
"We got six points from two games but I'm a little disappointed that the result remained in the balance given we dominated the game. We deserved more goals," he told Rai Uno.
"We have to be more clinical. We created a lot but didn't take our chances. Anyway, there was real commitment so I'm happy."
Match-winner De Rossi was given a straight red card on 55 minutes for kicking out at Iliyan Mitsanski, who followed the midfielder down the tunnel moments later for his part in the incident.
