Antonio Conte admits that it is pleasing to see Italy quickly find form under his guidance following the win over Norway.

Antonio Conte admitted that he has been impressed by Italy at the start of his reign as manager following their victory over Norway on Tuesday night.

Three points at the start of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign in Group H pleased Conte, who believes that there is more to come from his players under his guidance after replacing Cesare Prandelli in the summer.

"It was an important match and certainly not easy, as we hadn't won in Norway for decades, so these are always tricky games," the former Juventus manager told Rai Sport. "I think in nine days we have done some great things with these lads. Now we have to get to know each other better, progress and improve.

"We're doing well, these lads want to apply my vision of football - sometimes we did that better, other times not so much. I liked the attempt to play from the back and take advantage of spaces behind the Norwegian defence."

Victory over Norway on Tuesday followed a 2-0 triumph over the Netherlands last week.
